Direct Sales Representative - Insurance

Reporting to the Insurance Manager, the job holder will be tasked to providing exceptional customer service including efficient and accurate transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generating leads and converting them into opportunities for member recruitment and savings mobilization
  • Contacting potential customers via telephone, email, meetings, face to face and other media platforms
  • Arranging meetings with prospective members to demonstrate financial products and services.
  • Negotiating periodic savings with potential members
  • Paying attention to competitors and their activities within the industry
  • Building long-term relationships with new and existing Members
  • Ensuring all administration relating to sales and marketing is completed effectively.
  • Working closely with other departments and finding opportunities to cross sell products
  • Effective (honest & timely) communication to members and potential members
  • Effective feedback to your superiors and colleagues regarding sales and marketing activities gathered within and externally from the market.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Formal Education

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related course.
  • C.O.P/Diploma in insurance
  • Good knowledge of general insurance products and working knowledge of General and life insurance.

Communication, Interpersonal, Administrative, Report writing, Problem solving, public relations.
